Prosure Verification Standards Explained

Gaining verification is important – allowing you to prove to your clients that you take Health & Safety, as well as standards more broadly, seriously.  Gaining Prosure360 verification is a key step to be able to showcase your credentials and win more business.

Prosure SSIP Verified

 SSIP stands for Safety Schemes in Procurement and was launched in 2009. The umbrella scheme is the mutually recognised standard across the UK for occupational health and safety standards. Having this standard in place helps to reduce assessment costs and bureaucracy, ensuring all industries are working to the same standard.

Obtaining SSIP verification demonstrates to any buyer that you are competent in health and safety practices and procedures and that you are someone that it is safe to work with.

SSIP verification criteria include:

  • Health & Safety Policy and Arrangement
  • Competent advice, Training and Qualifications
  • Monitoring, Auditing and Workforce Involvement
  • Accident Reporting and Action
  • Sub-Contracting
  • Risk Assessments and Welfare Provision
  • Co-operating with Others

 

 

Prosure SSIP Deem-to-Satisfy

For those who hold verification from another SSIP verification we can use this to shorten the verification process. This is known as a Deem to Satisfy SSIP (DtS). Only minimal questions are required to achieve Prosure360 verification, making the process easier for you to complete.

 

 

Prosure Pre-Qualified

Pre-Qualified refers to pre-qualification questions. These are a set of questions that have been developed to reduce the need for suppliers to answer lots of different questionnaires for each client they work with. These questions represent a common minimum standard that is recommended by the British Standards Institute (BSI). They are designed to help suppliers know key information they need and help buyers find suppliers they can trust.

Republic of Ireland Duty Holder Categories

Prosure360 provides SSIP assessments which we’ve now extended
to include Republic of Ireland Duty Holder Categories, including:

  • SSIP Approved IE
  • SSIP Approved IE Contractor
  • SSIP Approved IE Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS)

What does this mean for Prosure360 clients?
This will allow clients who have operations in Ireland to have specific SSIP for that operational base, giving them clear visibility between UK and Ireland based service providers.

It also means that businesses who are solely based in Ireland can use Prosure360; this will support clients in building their relationships with service providers as they can choose which SSIP certification is best suited to their organisation.

There are only a handful of SSIP approved providers who can offer this, so Prosure360 is unique because it can deliver the SSIP, specific to the IE market.
